FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW TALL ARE YOU ABLE TO BUILD TRUSSES?
Due to the size of our table, we are only able to build trusses 13' 6" tall. Anything taller requires a piggyback (cap) truss. So essentially any truss over 13' 6" will come in two parts to be assembled on site.
Any truss over 12' is considered an oversize load for transport and often requires a pilot car, which incurs an additional delivery fee.
HOW LONG ARE YOU ABLE TO BUILD TRUSSES?
Our table allows us to build trusses up to about 80'. At around 50' we strongly recommend that a truss has a 2x6 top chord. This gives the truss more rigidity when being set. The same goes for 2x8 top chord lumber with any truss over 60'.
HOW DO YOU DELIVER TRUSSES?
Our trailers are equipped with rollers that facilitate the smooth sliding of trusses when the trailer is elevated. As long as there is sufficient space for our trucks to back in and an open area for truss placement, there is no need for on-site equipment during delivery. We advise against scheduling a crane until after trusses have been delivered, as weather conditions may impact the delivery timeline.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PAY FOR TRUSSES?
We prefer payment to be made in cash or by check. We normally do not accept cards, but if you wish to pay by card we charge an additional 4%.
Our prices are only good for 30 days. All orders will be adjusted for current lumber costs at the time of production if beyond 30 days of bid or order date.
HOW DO I GET TRUSS DESIGNS FOR PERMITTING?
While our estimates are free, we do not provide individual truss designs until an order has been placed. These preliminary designs are not stamped or sealed. Once an order is finalized, we proceed to obtain sealed drawings.
DO YOU SELL BEAMS OR TJI'S?
We only sell Roof Trusses, Floor Trusses, and hardware for truss to truss connections. We are not able to spec beams or ledgers. Nor do we sell loose lumber.
DO YOU SET THE TRUSSES ON SITE?
As a production facility, we specialize in truss manufacturing and delivery. Our services include producing high-quality trusses and ensuring timely delivery to the job site. While we occasionally handle truss repairs, we do not provide on-site framing or boom work.
WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?
We serve Southeastern Idaho and parts of Western Wyoming. We cannot direct quote in Wyoming. Jobs must go through a lumberyard of your choosing. Get in touch with them and they will reach out to us.
